DUTIES & TAXES POLICY

This Duties & Taxes Policy explains how sales tax, import duties, customs charges, and related fees may apply to orders placed through Nobaday.com.

1. United States Orders

For orders delivered within the United States, any applicable state and local sales tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the shipping address and applicable tax laws.

The total amount payable to Nobaday, including any sales tax collected by us, will be shown before the order is completed.

Standard U.S. orders fulfilled domestically generally will not require the recipient to pay import duties upon delivery.

2. International Orders

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, prices and shipping fees for orders delivered outside the United States do not include:

  • Import duties

  • Customs duties

  • Import taxes

  • Value-added tax (VAT)

  • GST, HST, PST, or similar taxes

  • Customs clearance fees

  • Brokerage fees

  • Carrier handling fees

  • Other charges imposed by local authorities or service providers

These charges may be assessed after the shipment enters the destination country and are generally the responsibility of the recipient.

If duties and taxes are included or prepaid for a particular order, this will be clearly indicated at checkout.

3. How Duties and Taxes Are Determined

Import charges are determined by the customs authority of the destination country and may depend on:

  • The declared value of the shipment

  • The product category

  • The product’s country of origin or manufacture

  • The destination country or region

  • Applicable trade agreements

  • Local tax rates

  • The shipping carrier or customs broker

Nobaday does not determine these charges and cannot guarantee or accurately estimate the amount that may be assessed.

Any estimate provided at checkout or by customer service is for reference only unless the charges are expressly collected as part of the order total.

4. Canadian Orders

Orders delivered to Canada may be subject to:

  • Customs duties

  • Goods and Services Tax (GST)

  • Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)

  • Provincial Sales Tax (PST)

  • Customs brokerage or carrier processing fees

The applicable charges depend on the value and type of product, its country of origin, the shipping method, and the recipient’s province or territory.

Canadian customs or the shipping carrier will determine and collect any applicable charges.

5. Payment of Import Charges

The recipient is responsible for paying all applicable duties, taxes, customs charges, and carrier fees required for the shipment to be released or delivered.

The shipping carrier, customs authority, or customs broker may contact the recipient directly to request payment or additional information.

Failure to pay the required charges may result in:

  • Delivery delays

  • The package being held by customs

  • The package being returned to Nobaday

  • The package being abandoned or destroyed

  • Additional return, storage, or handling fees

6. Customs Delays

Customs policies and processing times vary by country.

Customs inspections, documentation requirements, payment requests, or local import restrictions may delay delivery beyond the original estimate.

These delays are outside Nobaday’s reasonable control and do not automatically qualify an order for cancellation, compensation, or a refund.

Customers are responsible for providing any identification, tax number, import documentation, or other information requested by customs authorities or the shipping carrier.

7. Refused or Unclaimed International Shipments

Refusing a shipment, failing to collect it, or declining to pay applicable import charges does not automatically cancel the order.

If a package is returned to Nobaday because the recipient:

  • Refused delivery

  • Failed to pay duties or taxes

  • Failed to complete customs clearance

  • Failed to provide required information

  • Did not collect the package

Nobaday may deduct the following amounts from any eligible refund, to the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Original shipping charges

  • Return shipping charges

  • Duties and taxes charged to Nobaday

  • Customs or brokerage fees

  • Storage fees

  • Carrier handling charges

  • Other costs incurred in recovering the shipment

A refund will be considered only after the returned package has been received and inspected by Nobaday.

If the package is abandoned, destroyed, or not returned to Nobaday, a refund may not be available.

8. Duties and Taxes on Returns

Import duties and taxes paid directly by the customer to a customs authority, carrier, or customs broker are not collected by Nobaday and generally cannot be refunded by Nobaday.

Customers may contact their local customs authority to determine whether they are eligible to request a refund of duties or taxes paid on returned goods.

If Nobaday was required to pay unpaid duties, taxes, customs fees, return shipping costs, or other charges associated with a returned or refused shipment, those amounts may be deducted from the customer’s refund, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Approved product refunds will otherwise be processed in accordance with our Return & Exchange Policy.

9. Exchanges and Replacement Orders

A replacement or newly placed order may be treated as a new import by the destination country.

As a result, the recipient may be required to pay additional duties, taxes, or customs fees, even if similar charges were paid on the original shipment.

Where an item is replaced due to a confirmed product defect or fulfillment error, Nobaday will review any related charges based on the circumstances and applicable law.

10. Incorrect Customs Charges

Nobaday does not have authority to change, waive, or refund charges assessed directly by customs authorities, carriers, or customs brokers.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact the relevant customs authority or shipping carrier directly.

We may provide reasonable order documents, such as a commercial invoice or proof of purchase, when available.

11. Customer Responsibility

Before placing an international order, customers are responsible for reviewing:

  • Local import regulations

  • Product restrictions

  • Applicable duty and tax rates

  • Customs clearance requirements

  • Any required identification or tax numbers

Please contact your local customs authority for the most accurate information before placing an order.
